Laundry Room Cleaning Tip

Laundry Machine

Does your laundry machine smell a little… funky? Try these tips:

  • Add two cups of cleaning vinegar to the detergent dispenser and run a cycle on the hottest setting;

  • For front load washers: wipe down and dry the rubber ring around the door after every use to prevent mold and bacteria growth;

  • Leave the washer door open when not in use to encourage it to dry out faster and to air it out!

Dryer

This one’s a safety tip: empty your lint trap after every single use - it’s a fire hazard!

Lint is highly flammable, and if it gets built up around thermostats, motors, or heating elements in your dryer, it could catch fire. Don’t forget to clean out the vent at least once a year!

Amanda: Head Supervisor

Amanda has superhuman strength: she can deadlift 365lbs!

When Amanda’s not at work, you can find her at the gym working hard to improve her strength. We’re all so proud of her for achieving such incredible success with her weightlifting!

Congrats to Isabelle and Sherry G - they each won a paid day off as part of our employee incentive for the month of January!

Isabelle puts so much love into her work: through the relationships she builds with her clients (and their furbabies!) and the way she cares for her clients’ homes, she truly makes a difference every day. On top of that, she’s a hard worker who goes above and beyond to guide other Clean & Tidy team members on ways to improve and make their work stand out. Keep up the great work, Isabelle!

Sherry has blown us away ever since joining our team with her incredible cleans and amazing attitude. Every time she takes on a new client, we know they are in fantastic hands. She has made such a big difference at Clean & Tidy already and we are thrilled to have Sherry on our team!

Our Employee Incentive Program

All of our staff who pass their team inspections are entered into a monthly draw to win a paid day off. It’s just one of the many benefits we provide for our staff at Clean & Tidy!

February Donation

Every month, we make a donation to a local organization making a difference in our community.

Our February donation will be going to Ontario Black History Society.

Community Information

Team Clean & Tidy took part in the ninth annual Great Food Sort Challenge fundraiser for The Food Bank of Waterloo Region in January!

Teams representing 25 local businesses sorted through 67,704 pounds of non-perishable food (166 watermelon bins) and raised $56,067.

We have participated in this event a number of times and it’s always a lot of fun for a good cause. Way to go, Team Clean & Tidy!

Clean & Tidy is situated on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee Peoples. Kitchener Waterloo is located on the Haldimand Tract which runs 6 miles on either side of the Grand River throughout its length, land which was given to the Six Nations of the Grand River for their role in the American Revolution under the Treaty of Haldimand. Of the 950,000 acres that the Haldimand Treaty Lands consisted of, less than 5% comprise Six Nations of the Grand River lands today.
