holiday cleaning tips

Are you hosting this holiday season? Get prepped for parties with our easy holiday cleaning checklist!

Before Guests Arrive

✅ Gather up small items like toys and TV gadgets and place them in baskets to keep them organized and out of the way

✅ Fold blankets in common areas like living rooms

✅ Close doors to rooms you want to keep guests out of

✅ Clean bathroom(s) that guests will be using (you can skip the tub and shower and pull the curtain closed)

✅ Wipe down kitchen areas - guests love to gravitate to the kitchen!

✅ Sweep and mop floors

✅ Wipe down baseboards (these may not seem like the most obvious area, but people notice them right away!)

After Guests Leave

✅ Clean those dishes! They will be easier to clean than when food is dried and stuck on the next morning. Plus, morning you will thank you for being able to wake up and relax instead of worrying about the dishes!

✅ The next morning, give a quick once over to the bathroom(s), kitchen, and floors, just to spruce things up again for you and your family.

Help team Cleaners Who Care fight hunger in Waterloo Region 💪💪

We're excited to take part in the Waterloo Region Great Food Sort Challenge once again, where we will go head to head with other teams to see who can sort the most non-perishable food items on Friday, January 23.

And for every $1 we raise, The Food Bank of Waterloo Region can provide two nourishing meals to someone facing hunger in our community.

Clean & Tidy is situated on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee Peoples. Kitchener Waterloo is located on the Haldimand Tract which runs 6 miles on either side of the Grand River throughout its length, land which was given to the Six Nations of the Grand River for their role in the American Revolution under the Treaty of Haldimand. Of the 950,000 acres that the Haldimand Treaty Lands consisted of, less than 5% comprise Six Nations of the Grand River lands today.
