About
CLEAN & TIDY

Give your home the 'Shelby Shine'!

Clean & Tidy was formed in 2013 when founder Shelby realized that she loves doing what many people find to be a stressful chore: cleaning!

But the story goes back further even than that. Shelby comes by this business naturally: as a girl she could be found cleaning up after her younger sister, and it truly brings her joy.

You read that right - Shelby LOVES cleaning.

And she loves taking the stress of cleaning out of people's lives while she's at it.

She's also passionate about doing things differently. Clean & Tidy believes in only using safe, natural, and green cleaning products

We don't use harsh chemicals when cleaning. We feel this provides a safer work environment for our cleaners and a safer place to live for our clients.

Over the years, Clean & Tidy has won numerous awards for outstanding service, and we are proud to give back to our community on a regular basis.

At Clean & Tidy our mission is to make every space we enter shine, and leave every client with a smile.

All Natural Cleaning

ALL NATURAL CLEANING

Making an informed choice regarding the pollutants and chemicals that we breathe, absorb, ingest, and dispose of can make a real difference to our health and wellbeing. Our clients deserve to live and work in an environment that is safe and healthy not only for themselves but for their family members, pets, and the world we live in.

This is why we choose to use Norwex products.

What is Norwex?

Developed in Norway over a decade ago, Norwex is a line of cleaning products that is one of the greenest out there. It reduces the amount of chemicals in a home, making it safer for those who live there.

Using Norwex, you don’t breathe, touch or ingest any harsh or harmful chemicals, which makes it one of the safest products for cleaners, homeowners, their children, and pets.

How does it work?

Unlike traditional cotton cloths and mops that simply push around dirt and other particles, Norwex products are made with microfiber cloth, which pulls dirt off of surfaces and into the cloth itself.

Each cloth and mop has silver running through the fibers, which has self-purification properties. This formulation kills up to 93% of all bacteria on contact - including dangerous ones like salmonella - on any kind of surface in a completely chemical-free way.

OUR POLICIES

parking policy

We take our staff safety seriously and as such have implemented a Parking Policy so that our staff can safely access your home.

Free Parking

Our staff must be able to access a no-cost parking spot. We do not believe it is fair to ask or expect our staff to pay out of pocket to pay for parking and then be reimbursed.

Reasonable Distance

As we bring our own cleaning supplies to your home, including large items like vacuums, our staff must be able to access your home from parking within a reasonable distance.

Safe Route

Our staff must be able to access your home from parking through a safe route that does not include crossing major roads or intersections on foot.

smoking in enclosed workplace policy

In order to ensure a safe workplace for our staff and to comply with the Ontario Human Rights Code, Clean & Tidy does not provide service to homes or offices where tobacco or cannabis have been smoked or vaped indoors, as these are classified as enclosed workspaces for our staff.

We reserve the right to refuse service to clients where it is evident that tobacco or cannabis has been recently smoked or vaped indoors in the same area in which service is to be provided. In such cases, clients will be charged a late cancellation fee.

In cases where clients use cannabis for a medical purpose, we require that cannabis has not been smoked or vaped in the same area in which service is to be provided for a minimum of 24 hours in advance of our arrival. We are happy to work together with our clients to accommodate their needs as well as the safety and health of our staff.
